A neighbour of mine has tried to tax a 1966 S11 12 seater station wagon (ex UK) as vintage €56, but has been told by the Council that it cant be done, they say he has to tax commercially and have DOE yearly.
Can anybody please shed any light ?

Because it has more than 9 seats it's a mini bus, remove 3 seats and have it reclassified and it's a car.

I though more about this and unless the vehicle is being used commercially it should get vintage tax, it may need a doe as more than 9 seats is a minibus but that shouldn't affect vintage tax. Trucks can have vintage tax.
