Hi Lads,

Looking ahead, does anyone have a suggestion for a venue for the AGM? Last years venue in Maynooth was fantastic, it would be great if we could secure somewhere of similar calibre.

Ive marked it down for a Saturday - any thoughts on the day? Would you prefer a Sunday?

Saturday's a good day. Like to keep the sunday's for mud  evil evil Neener

Maynooth wasn't bad... at least it was on the correct side of Dublin for us southerner's and the traffic was not bad getting to it. I don't mind if we have the same venue.

How much would a small conference room in a hotel be, I'm guessing at least €150. A bit of comfort would be nice.  Grin

Yeah, I agree that last years meeting at Maynooth was great. A hotel would also be great - possible at the outskirts of the city - what about Citywest?

Would people be willing to throw €10 into the pot to get hotel facilities?

Would it be worth extending into a bit of a social do? ( a meal afterwards)?

Im only thinking out loud here - nothing concrete yet. we could just as easily have it in a quiet pub. But AV facilities are useful. And an excuse for everyone to get together socially afterwards would be a bonus.

Thoughts etc....

Des, I'm with you and also thinking out loud here. €10into a pot is fine by me and a hotel venue with a bit of social and a sleep over can be real good especially if they have a 18 hole golf course out the back where we can go drive thru the sand pits, wading in the ponds and get stuck in the bog on the green..... evil

City West it is then  Grin
Not too far from where we usually meet, and it's got an off-road golf course too.  evil

Yeah, I don't have a problem with €10.00 (or €20.00 if it came to it!). We'll have to choose a date as the venue will have to be booked.

Ooops, just noticed the 29th has been chosen - are we going with this?

Is anybody actually organising the AGM? I'll gladly do it but I need to know if anyone else has started the ball rolling before I start making plans.

I'll also plan the agenda etc.

(and organise the voting for the new committee :D)

I don't mind Citywest, but just thinking ? Is there anything down the road a little, although I don't think there is.

There's a slim chance I might not be able to make it but count in my €10 or €20 into the pot anyway

When is it again ? Could I make one suggestion ? Can the AGM still be around 2'ish like last year and not too late as I might not stay over (for the golf, ya right) but just drive back home afterwards.
