Hi All,

This is an off roading trip which is organised and lead by Mark Hayden. It has been run very successfully for the last 3 years and sounds like a real blast.

This years trip is planned for the Friday 20th October. It will take in some of the most dramatic Welsh scenery and over 100 miles of off road tracks ranging from simple greenlanes to more technical obstacles. The event is a non damaging one and any vehicles that have done it before have been pretty much standard so there's no need to have a tricked up 90 to partake.

The plan is that the group would travel in convoy to catch an early morning ferry to Holyhead. Off roading would begin as soon as you arrive and you'd stay in a hotel on friday night. The normal good food and socialising is a given. Saturday would be a whole day of driving tracks and taking in the scenery followed by a stay in another hotel on saturday night. Sunday would involve off roading in the morning and finishing at fishguard to travel back on an afternoon/evening ferry.

Anyone who has gone before has had a great experience and some of them are doing it again this year.
Costs usually break down to be approximately 200euro for the ferry journeys and anywhere from 15-25sterling per night in the hotels including a decent breakfast.
Exact costs will be posted nearer the time but for now we need to know numbers. Also vehicle numbers are limited to roughly 10. Considering most would have a driver and passenger that's 20people and anything beyond that becomes difficult for arranging joint accommodation and also tends to slow up the progress as there are more vehicles to traverse obstacles etc.
Places are limited so get you name down now! We have arranged that interested parties can pay a 100euro deposit for the trip via the club paypal account and just fill in 'your name' and 'Wales trip' in the payment description.

If you want any further info you can pm either myself or mark hayden.

Thanks

Tom

Hi Mark 'n' Tom,

I'm thinkin' of making it a "Cole Family Weekend"....Me, Da-Missus and the "Pip-miester" (14 mths...Leaving the dog at home...and resist the temptation to post some smart remark about my wife  ) Was wondering if you had an thoughts if this is a good or bad idea ? ie. Would it be too rough or scary for the girls Huh? We did some orange and a little bit of brown ( that brown bit was in my pants...it was my first time off road ) in an event in coilte when Lynne was 5 mths pregnant with Pippa, but thanks to Deco, Mike and the To-The-Max-Well Boys, we came out unscaved and they really enjoyed it( granted Pippa didn't say much  Grin )

Your thoughts gentlemen please,

Nidge ( Family Guy ) Ninety

Okay - let me jump in here with an answer....

There should be a newly created block across on the left there, with a 'Pay Deposit' button allowing you to put your €100 towards a place on the trip.
