There should be something between red and green.
This poll does not cater for a lot the members out there, as green is too tame and red is too wild me thinks.

Actually saying that, some of the green lanes we do are pretty hair raising anyway  :o :o :o
So ignore the comments above.
Would just be nice to make a destinction between green tame and green wild before we go red  :-\ :neener

Leon since i've been in the club its always been Green, Red and Black.. What might be Tame or wild for you might not be seen as tame or wild to other members.

Hi all,

I think that the existing forests provide a good choice for different levels and therefore each individual has the choice of which level to do on a given day. If you wish to go where it is difficult, then do that, if not skip those sections.

I think that spending time to wander the forests gives the benefit of exploring and keeping to the level that you are comfortable with. I personally feel that pushing yourself is part of the experience and I think that our club has a good bunch who will provide assistance and help to everyone if and when you do get stuck or into difficulty.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents worth

Nice to see the debate open up again.
I agree with what you're saying about the forest Noddy, however as myself and Mark P discovered on a designated reccie, there are very few 'true greenlane' tracks in the forest and some level of off road experience would be preferable. That said most of the lads that go out these days are like yourself and have a go at most tracks which is exactly the way it should be. What the club is now looking at is would there be a demand for 'light' off roading if we offered it and by the same token a more extreme option.

Not into green laning at all. When I had more time a few years ago maybe but only manage to get out every once and awhile and want a challenge !

Will do the extreme stuff as much as I can without totaling Disco !

Wellcome to the Club :headbang:
Not off-roading your land rover is like not having sex with your girlfriend so she will be more desirable for her next boyfriend!
